Since 2006, Noctua has been manufacturing fans and we are now quite familiar with the NF-P12 and the NF-P14 that stock the famous NH-D14 heatsink. However, now Noctua has opened us to a whole new series of fans which is the A-series, from 40mm to 140mm. The fan we are going to be talking about is the Noctua NF-A14 case fan.
The Noctua NF-A14 case fans are equipped with what Noctua calls, “Noctua’s AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) standard”. Noctua have also equipped the Noctua NF-A14 case fans with sophisticated aerodynamic design measures such as the Flow Acceleration Channel. The Noctua NF-A14 case fans feature the SSO2 bearing that first appeared with their Noctua NF-F12, and Noctua’s PWM fans are all driven by Noctua’s silent PWM integrated circuit chips. What this means is that, there’s no clicking whatsoever, even when the voltage is changed, the user will not hear any clicking.
The Noctua NF-A14 case fans and all the new-generation Noctua fans have Anti-Vibration Pads, the soft brown corners. These fans also have airflow enhancements as stepped inlets and inner surface microstructures and also use the corners as flare vents for fan output. The Noctua NF-A14 case fans feature metal bearing shells.

Case fans have come a long way and are not simply hard plastic frames that surround the fan to the point that, now fans are a “complete package” and isn’t simply a cooling device anymore. Fans nowadays add RGB LED lighting as well as some manufacturers add various modes of LED control to take any PC case or CPU cooler to the next level.
Today we have Corsair LL140 case fans that we are going to be talking about here, the Dual Light Loop Series of fans by Corsair. The purpose of such fans is to not only provide the users with impressive performance and silent performance at the same time and also taking it a step further, providing the enthusiasts with some of the best RGB LED control built into it. Dual Light Loop Fans are designed by Corsair with a total of sixteen LEDs, many of these are around the edge, a few are in the hub, and with the connections made to proprietary devices, the visuals that the Corsair LL140 case fans will provide the enthusiasts is really impressive and is one of the best.
When picking up these fans, you will have to start with a dual 140mm kit as these packs are shipped with the Lightning Node Pro and the RGB Lightning Hub, which is not available in the single fan packaging. Keep in mind that, you are not stuck with two fans; you can pick a single kit and maximize the cooling and aesthetics with up to a total of six fans per node. All of the LED control is handled via the Corsair LINK software.

For some time now, Corsair has been selling fans that have magnetically levitation blades. Corsair started with a single and a twin pack fans with just gray blades and black frames, but now these have evolved.
These ML fans by Corsair were offered in solid LED color with options of red, white, and blue to add a little bit of bling to the PC case, but Corsair did not stop there. As RGB is so hyped nowadays, it only makes sense that Corsair adds RGB to their Corsair ML140 case fans.
Exactly like the Dual-Light Loop fans, Corsair offers their ML-Series fans in a single pack or a dual pack configuration, but keep in mind that the singles LED effects will not work on their own, because they are sold to be additions to the dual pack kits. As mentioned earlier, the single pack fans do not come with the RGB lighting hub, they do not come with the Lightning Node Pro either and it kind of makes sense.
Dual pack fan boxes come with a few extra stuff, but apart from all that, the Corsair ML140 fans are designed to deliver 55.4 CFM of airflow with 1.27mm H20 of static pressure. They are PWM controlled and the sound levels are rated at only 20.4 dB(A) and the fans also come with a five year warranty.

The F14 fan series was announced by Arctic, which consists of six new 140mm fans with a wide variety of features. However, these fans are all part of the same series; they have little in common with each other. The F14 series of fans have only two same traits which are the six year warranty and the physical size of 140mm. The dimensions of all of the six fans is 140mm x 140mm x 27mm (W x L x H).
The ARCTIC F14 PWM PST CO fan uses dual ball bearings, while most of the fans use fluid dynamic bearings. The F14 Silent fan and the F14 TC fan are the two most unique fans in the list, the F14 Silent has an 800 RPM, that is lower than the other fans in the F14 fan series which ranges from 960 RPM to 1350 RPM, however lower RPM means lower noise and it operated quieter at 0.08 Sone of noise level. Now, for the F14 TC is unique in the way that it uses a temperature sensor that helps in adjusting the speed, while this fan spins at 960 RPM to 1350 RPM, it can also adjust its speed in order to keep the case between 32-38 °C. When the temperature drops below 32 °C, that is when the fan shuts off completely.
Now, the other fans in the list are also designed to shut off when the PWM signal sent to them drops below 40%. Doing this helps in keeping your PC relatively quiet when it is idle and helps in keeping the PC cool when at full load.
The frame of the ARCTIC F14 fan is black while the fan itself is white. It does not have any noise dampening rubber on the corners of the ARCTIC F14 fan. But, it still operates quite silently even at full load.
The ARCTIC F14 fan is a great choice for your PC build. It has an innovative blade design, the airflow of the fan is great at high speeds while at low speeds, the airflow is quite good. However, the ARCTIC F14 fan will make sure that your PC does remain cool while staying pretty silent.

To start with, the ARCTIC BioniX P140 case fans are actually optimized for static pressure and offer a 0dB mode and a few technical improvements. The ARCTIC BioniX P140 fans are available in red and white colors.
The package for the ARCTIC BioniX P140 case fans is a simple box that is in black color with accents of the color of the fan you’re getting. The front of the box has the fan itself pictured on it along with some of the important technical data and special features of the fans are also listed here.
The focus of the air flow and the optimization to a high static pressure are promoted, with what the fans are specifically suitable for the use with pinholes and filters, which increase the air resistance. Fan’s efficiency have also improved compared to the previous models.
The ARCTIC BioniX P140 fan only requires a 0.15A of input current. It does actually benefit the “PWM sharing technology” too, this simply hides the fact that the PWM connections of the fans are “looped through” and therefore several fans can be connected together to one of the PWM connectors on the motherboard. This does mean that the load on the PWM port will add up. As some of the motherboards only provide 1.0A of current for these connections, so Arctic themselves recommend on their support page to not to connect more than 5 fans in series and also to check the specifications of the motherboard just to be on the safe side.
The P series offers a 0dB mode as a new feature. When the PWM signal goes below 5%, the fan switches off completely.
The ARCTIC BioniX P140 fan’s motor is also promoted by Arctic as a low vibration one, so that they can leave the anti-vibration rubbers out of the ARCTIC BioniX P140 fans. Arctic does give a 10 year warranty on the ARCTIC BioniX P model fans.
ARCTIC BioniX P140 fan does have impressive cooling performance. The ARCTIC BioniX P140 fans are audible at the maximum speed, but not too much. The low vibration motor of the ARCTIC BioniX P140 fan does perform quite well in order to keep the noise levels of the ARCTIC BioniX P140 fan quite low.

Corsair did really well with their SP and AF series of fans, now Corsair have also added LED versions of both the fan series to their range of PC accessories. Here we will be talking about the Corsair Air Series AF140 case fan.
Corsair’s LED fans are mainly focused for the enthusiasts who want high airflow and low noise along with a little bit of lighting effects going on in their PC case at a reasonable price point. However, this range of fans has a slightly different performance in comparison to their non-LED counterparts. These LED quiet editions have specifications that fall right between the quiet and performance editions of the non-LED fans and are actually sold at a cheaper price. However, the addition of the LED fans to Corsair’s line up is not much of a revolutionary move by Corsair, but more of an expected evolution of the original design. These fans are manufactured in five different color schemes by Corsair which are blue, red, green, white, and purple. So, pretty much everyone will be able to find the right fan that matches their PC build’s color scheme.
The Corsair Air Series AF140 fan comes in quite a simple packaging that has a simple box with the branding, basic specs and also a clear window that showcase the actual fan inside the box.
The exterior of the Corsair Air Series AF140 fan has a great build quality and the general aesthetics of the Corsair Air Series AF140 fan is really nice. An open corner design does help in compatibility with some types of CPU cooler. Corsair Air Series AF140 case fans color scheme is a simple black frame with frosted fan blades.
Corsair’s fantastic attention to detail continues on the back of the fan where all of the wires on the frame are flush and colored in black in an attempt to minimize distraction from the main feature, that is the 4 LEDs that are located in the corners of the fan.
The main feature of the Corsair Air Series AF140 case fan in comparison to the other fans by Corsair is the LEDs, and the LEDs of the Corsair Air Series AF140 case fan do perform really well even in bright conditions.
Corsair Air Series AF140 case fans provide the enthusiasts with outstanding build quality for the price and you get the real feeling that Corsair have manufactured after thinking hard about the consumers’ needs and the design of the product. The solid build quality of these fans is pretty much the reason why these fans are quite popular.
